With the introduction of the of the new SASSA R350 grant, a large number of SRD SASSA application had to be resubmitted via the srd.sassa.gov.za, This website serves many purposes including checking status. “Most importantly, if a person has not received a SMS from notifying them that the grant is available for collection, it means the grant is not available yet.  In other words, every approved applicant must first wait for a sms confirming that the grant is available,” Letsatsi explained.

Exemption Permit Dispensation, and asylum seekers whose section 22 permits or visas are valid or were valid.

b) Currently residing within the borders of the Republic of South Africa;
c) Above the age of 18 and below the age of 60;
d) Unemployed;
e) Not receiving any social grant in respect of himself or herself;
f) Not receiving an unemployment insurance benefit and does not qualify to receive an

h) Not receiving any other government COVID-19 response support;
